How do I know if my Thing is heavy or awkward to transport?
The Thing pages on our website are full of handy information about our Things, including their weight and dimensions.
Scroll down on the Thing page to check out the "Good to know" section for advice on getting it home, or take a peek at our handy "At a glance" section!
We recommend bringing a bag or rucksack to collect some of our Things, as they can be awkward to transport as they are - although most of our DIY Things come in handy carry cases. This is all noted in the "Good to know" section, so be sure to check it out!
Do you offer a delivery service?
Library of Things is currently trialling a delivery pilot with the courier Gophr - we're able to deliver certain heavy or bulky Things to borrowers within one mile of our central locations.
We realise this may mean some people still can't access the service, so we've joined forces with Zipcar to help our borrowers get bulky Things home. See below!
Don't have a car? We have a deal!
We've partnered with the super team at Zipcar, so our borrowers using Zipcar for the first time can claim £10 credit to hire a car or van and drive their Thing home.
Just make a reservation on our website and be sure to follow the link from your confirmation email to activate the credit.
