How do I pay for membership and borrowing?
You pay for membership and borrowing fees via a debit or credit card linked to your online borrowing account.
You'll pay a one-off membership fee when you make your first reservation with Library of Things.
For now, every time you make a reservation, we'll ask for your card details. Save your card to your account coming soon!
When do I pay for my borrow?
You'll be charged for your borrow when you make a reservation.
If you cancel your reservation before 9am the day before your collection date, you'll receive a full refund.
If you cancel your reservation after 9am the day before your collection date the payment will stand and you will not receive a refund, as per our policy.
We currently accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We cannot currently accept payment by cash, Paypal or other methods. We also can't accept payments from prepaid cards.
Who is your payment processor?
We use a payment processing provider called Stripe. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest grade of payment processing security.

I've lost my card/my card has expired/I've got a new card. How do I change it on my borrowing account?
You'll be charged separately every time you make a new reservation, so if your card has expired or you don't have the appropriate funds you won't be able to make the reservation.
To make a reservation, you'll have to provide another card or ensure you have the correct funds in your account.
Can I delete the card saved to my borrowing account?
Your card isn't currently saved to your account, so this doesn't apply for now!
