How do you decide what Things to stock?

We base our Thing catalogue on demand from borrowers, as well as the ability to maintain and store our Things in their lockers.

How do we choose which Things to stock?

We have 3 criteria to help us decide:

• Demand: We've combined our learnings from over the years around what people most like to borrow, and combined these with community wishlisting to create a catalogue of Things. We're always experimenting with new Things too, based on demand from borrowers.

• Maintenance: We need Things that are easy to pass from borrower-to-borrower with as few issues as possible, and can be maintained regularly by our fantastic Thing Technicians.

• Storage: We have limited space in our self-service kiosks, so we prioritise Things based on demand.

We're always happy to hear suggestions from our borrowers!

We can't promise that'll we'll stock what you're after as we have to factor in the criteria above, and because of that, we can't give you a timeframe as to when we might get it either.

Adding a Thing suggestion to our wishlist is really helpful though, as we can build up a stronger picture of demand. We can also get in touch with you if we do add your suggestion to our catalogue!
